Apply for Services

 

To qualify for Home Repair Services, applicants must meet the requirements below.

Note: the Fix-it School classes and Foreclosure Intervention Counseling are exempt from the income requirements.

It's a good idea to call first to make sure you have everything you need. You can reach our intake staff at (616) 241-2601.

No appointment is necessary. Intake is open from 9:00 to 5:00 weekdays except Wednesday and from 9:00 to 12:00 on Saturday.  Wednesday hours are from 9:00 to 7:00.  (Se habla español.)

Requirement

Proof Needed

You must own or be buying your home.

A deed, land contract or mortgage.

You must actually live in the house.

Your driver's license or acceptable ID card.

The combined income of everyone who lives in your house must be below the guidelines listed below.

Be sure to bring all of the following:

  • Your latest federal and state tax return.
  • Your most recent paycheck stub.
  • Your current Social Security statement if applicable.

The house must be in Kent County, Michigan.
