This partnership between Home Repair Services and the Home & Building Association of Greater Grand Rapids connects volunteers from participating HBA member companies with lower-income homeowners. While most of the projects involve wheelchair ramps, the volunteers also upgrade electrical service and repair porches for families in need.
This year's Community Repair Day 2010 will take place on Saturday, September 11.

Right now we're looking for cement workers, receptionists, woodshop workers and a volunteer liaison. If you're interested in any of these roles, contact Stan Greene at (616) 241-2601, ext. 223 and tell him "I've got skills you can use!"
To qualify for services you must own, or be buying, the home in which you live. The home must be in Kent County. Your combined household income must be below our published guidelines.
