Donate Materials

Many lower-income homeowners are do-it-yourselfers, and Builders' Abundance is their source for affordable building materials at 25% of retail cost.

You can support a lower-income do-it-yourselfer by donating your surplus new or gently used building materials.  There's particularly high demand for the following items:

  • Kitchen and Bath Cabinets
  • Windows
  • Doors

Your donation will:

  • save yourself disposal costs,
  • help preserve our landfills,
  • give a resourceful homeowner a "boost"
  • be eligible for a potential tax deduction

You can drop off your donations at our headquarters, located at 1100 S. Division Ave. in Grand Rapids. Weekday hours are 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Tuesday - Friday.  We offer extended hours, until 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday.  Saturday hours are 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.  We also offer free pick-up; just contact us at (616) 241-2601 x234 or e-mail bjordan@homerepairservices.org.
