For over 30 years Home Repair Services, in partnership with the HBA, HBA Foundation, and Disability Advocates of Kent County have been providing accessibility ramps to thousands of households here in Kent County. In 1992 we launched an event called Community Repair Day – a single day event in which 57 volunteers went out into the community making critical health and safety home repairs as well as building wheelchair ramps. Over time this event grew from a single day event into a season of volunteerism that has become primarily focused on ramp building, drawing hundreds of volunteers & supporters each year. 

To kick off the inaugural RAMPFEST season in 2026 we’re paying homage to our 90s roots and celebrating all things 90s. Each year we plan to have a fun new theme that keeps the volunteer experience fresh and engaging, while celebrating the joy and impact of the work being done.
